2008 was a bit of an emotional trip. I was in love, got dumped, dated a bunch of dongs, tried to be a party girl, and ended off the year being a hermit. Overall, the year was a learning experience more than anything. Definitely not one of my best years, but I am glad to have finally closed out that chapter in my life.
But 2009 is my year to be fine. This year I have some help. My dear friend of almost 4 years Dan, self-made beefcake on the road to becoming a doctor (as you can see to the right), spent some of his spare time thinking of ways to get me to stick to any kind of workout regime. He decided that, as a personal project of his own, he's going to become my trainer and see if he can pass some of his fitness success onto me. He also wants to use being a personal trainer as his backup if the whole Dr. Dan thing doesn't work out.Of course, with every new year comes new resolutions.
Resolutions:
- Ride in at least six Critical Masses
- Get the extra 120 pounds off my back - I should be able to accomplish this by the end of the year losing a healthy 2-3 pounds a week.
- Get my amateur radio operator license
- Get at least 30 minutes of cardio in 5 days a week
- Move into a new apartment and make it look classy
- Keep up with my blog for an entire year
- Take care of my skin
- Start a retirement fund
- Pay back all debts
- Become more knowledgeable of current events
- Become completely financially independent
- Set five goals for each month - since resolutions really only work if you have tiny goals to get to them
January's Goals:
- Get my 24 Hour Fitness membership set up
- Clean my apartment
- Pay my own rent on the 31st
- Finish everyone's Christmas scarves
- Create a good list of blogs on the
